Music play
Michelle is currently working on continuing her endeavor in Early Childhood Music Education through Music Play time, where kids and their grownups playfully experience rhymes, rhythms, songs, movement and instruments. Through active listening, deductive learning, center-based music games and a multi cultural repertoire children can learn to relate to music as instinctively as they learn to speak a language and think in that language. Music Play time is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the Music Learning Theory (MLT), and is designed for children ages 0-6 and the for the whole family to actively participate.
Michelle is an advocate for social change and sees music not only as an indispensable tool for integral child-development, but also as an instrument to change behavior and ways of living, redirect curiosity towards more essential topics and transform average consciousness into deep social awareness.
